Daniel + Chelsea

Photographer: Wilson and Lewis (Tony and Tereza)

Daniel and Chelsea were married on the most stunning Autumn day at The Manor Basket Range. This wedding had a little bit of everything from a sunny first look, Lord of the Rings, swords, stunning entrance with Mum, lots of tears and cheers, a surreal just married moment, energetic entrance, spirited speeches, a terrific table photo game, an emotional first dance and wicked medieval style night portraits.

I’ve known Daniel and Chelsea for a few years through the wedding industry, so it was an honour to be asked to be their celebrant and MC. Their ceremony was much more sentimental with a splash of humour and fun occasionally, but overall, each word was more important than the last. The overarching theme of love shone through at their ceremony and this feeling bubbled away and continued on late into the night.

Most parts of the ceremony were extremely personal to share but Daniel and Chelsea love their dogs Terror and Athena, but they were unable to make it the wedding, so I shared a letter written by the two.

“Dear Mum and Dad,

Where are you? Jokes, congratulations we hear you’ve gotten married. Woof.

To celebrate we have literally slept all day, alternating between inside and in the sun, what a day!

Rest assured we’ve been really good whilst you’ve been away and have only chewed small amounts of cardboard and grabbed minimal things from the bench, those spare ties have been tasty.

We’ve definitely not tried to eat Kevin the cockatiel, we promise that was a one-time only thing. (pause)

We look forward to you returning, married, so we can go on more walks and you can share some of our favourite snacks, peanut butter, carrots or literally anything that you two are eating. Thanks.

Love from Terror and Athena.”

Thanks for having me along, trusting me to tell your story and making some memories along the way.
