Bree + Brody

A celebration of family. This is the best way to describe Bree and Brody’s ceremony held at Adelaide’s little white chapel of love Faithwood Chapel
From Grandpa Robert as the ring bearer to a beautiful little announcement (read below for more!!!), it was a pure joy to tell Bree and Brody’s story and share in their beautiful celebration of them.
I love the intimate, safe and wonderful atmosphere that Faithwood provides, it’s so unique and it instantly relaxes everyone as soon as they enter and stroll past the magnificent neons.
Here’s a small excerpt from Bree and Brody’s ceremony including the very cool announcement and a sneaky engagement story:
“When asked about some of their favourite memories and moments together, both mentioned the many camping trips they have been on and the connections that have grown from these trips, their recent trip to Bali, building a house and the many compromises they made in the process and of course welcoming their 3 beautiful fur babies, Fatima, Marli and Winston into the family.
Oh and one more very recent update.
Nothing major.
Only the news that Bree is 12 weeks pregnant!
(what a moment to share during their ceremony)
I asked Brody what were some of his favourite things about Bree, he shared that Bree is a constant support and is always there for him, she makes him laugh with silly intentional acts, he loves her drive and ambition, her care for everything and everyone around her, even though it can lead to a little overthinking and finally Bree makes a cracking cup of coffee each and every morning for them both.
Whilst Bree loves how Brody is a list finishing champion, his optimistic outlook for their future, his passion for music and gardening, even though she questions his timings sometime and finally 3 kisses, always 3 kisses, going back to when they first met that it is now such a habit that can’t be broken. (pause)
I’m sure we’re all looking forward the first kiss (3 times!)
It’s now time to move towards how Bree and Brody became an engaged couple.
Brody had grand plans to take Bree on a hot air balloon, followed by a picnic then proposing with champagne and surrounded by swans near a lake.
However, he quickly realised that a trip on a hot air balloon may arise some suspicion and wanted the engagement to be a surprise so quickly deflated that idea.
Brody decided to combine one major life moment and upgrade it to two, the first being moving into their first home, the latter being a ring.
Brody decided to test the waters with a ring reference first.
They were both unpacking boxes late at night and as Brody grabbed the coffee machine, he found a coffee tab and slid it onto Bree’s ring finger and just threw out the question “imagine if this was a ring”, both immediately fell into fits of laughter, and they returned to their packing.
However, within a short amount of time, Bree feels another tap on her shoulder, spins around to find Brody down on one knee, arm extended and confidently whips out one of the great lines:
“Well… how about this ring, will you marry me?”
Bree, completely surprised and stunned, remains silent.”
I then asked Bree how long she was silent for and what her first words, we all had a little giggle and tied up this sweet little story nicely.
Bree and Brody shared these kind words about their ceremony:
“Matthew from the get go made our special day so fun and exciting. My partner and I were clueless to start with on the process, and Matthew helped every step along the way. The nerves on the day were definitely there.
But the way Matthew calmed Bree before walking the aisle and calmed myself was so effective and made the day so much fun!
Our guests have said how much they enjoyed the ceremony because Matthew made it so personal to Bree and myself.
We had caught up with Matthew twice before the wedding and without realising at the time, if Bree and I had said any details about ourselves Matthew had written them down and mentioned some stories/memories of Bree and I at the ceremony, which made it so fun for us to hear on the day.
Matthew was always there on email and phone whenever we needed any assistance.
Thank you so much Matthew!”
Thank you to Bree and Brody for having me along to the beautiful Faithwood Chapel.
