Kirsty + Nathan

Nathan and Kirsty wanted a bit more of a romantic ceremony, so it was nice to tell some more of their story and their emotions around each other. It got super emotional for their vows and a love so great, 10 years in the making they shared 2 kisses.

It was a thrill to be your celebrant and stay on as MC at the incredible Glen Lea Homestead

Here’s a little from their script “"Kirsty and Nathan first met in year 8, a fresh-faced teenage Nathan complete with floppy hair had recently transferred to the Murray Bridge school.

Nathan remembers Kirsty to be friendly, warm, and welcoming of him, this helped Nathan settle into the new school and eased his nerves a little.

Kirsty remembers Nathan’s big smile, a smile so infectious and beaming that it just lights up any room he walks into.
The same smile Kirsty noticed 10 years ago is the same smile that lit up her world when she stood at the top of the aisle today and sighted Nathan.

It wasn’t until year 11 that Kirsty and Nathan really noticed each other.
The classes they took together were the building blocks to a life changing event about to occur.

One such class was Maths, whilst it wasn’t quite trigonometry or Pythagoras’s theorem that was life changing, it was the addition of Kirsty and Nathan increasingly conversing at school, texting after school and on weekends, spending more and more time together until finally they were inseparable, wanting to spend every second of their day together and developing a deep care for each other.

The moment that switched their relationship from friends to a couple was they went out to a party, Nathan had a few too many naughty waters and his confidence peaked, he asked Kirsty to be his girlfriend.

Kirsty said Yes.. but under one condition.

He needed to remember in the morning and ask the same question.

Thankfully Nathan remembered in the morning.. with the assistance of an impatient Kirsty who only prompted a few times.. "
